Biography:

Alan Rolf Hinzpeter was drafted into the United States Army via the Selective Service. He began his tour on November 9, 1970, and had the rank of Specialist 4th Class. His military occupation or specialty was Light Weapons Infantry, and he was attached to the 101st Airborne Division, 2nd Battalion, 506th Infantry, A Company. 

Alan Hinzpeter was born on May 12, 1949, in Minot, Ward County, North Dakota. He experienced a traumatic event which ultimately resulted in loss of life on September 6, 1971. His final resting place is Rosehill Memorial Park Cemetery in Minot. He was given the Purple Heart and is honored on the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Washington, DC, name inscribed at VVM Wall, Panel 02w, Line 11.
