Biography:
Arnold Herman Hausauer was born May 11, 1925 on the family farm near Skogmo, Sheridan County, North Dakota.
He graduated from McClusky High School in 1943 and was drafted into the Army shortly afterward.
Arnold was killed June 18, 1945 while serving in Okinawa. He was leading his men up to a building and accidentally stepped on a land mine. He was first buried on Okinawa but was re-interred at McClusky City Cemetery in June of 1949. He rests next to his father and mother.
