Registered Burke county. Born, Hampton, Iowa, Sept. 19, 1895, of Danish parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Bowbells on July 23, 1918. Sent to Camp Custer, Mich. Served in 45th Company, 12th Battalion, 160th Depot Brigade, to Sept. 4, 1918; 28th Company, 7th Battalion, 160th Depot Brigade, to Sept. 7, 1918; Company H, 78th Infantry, to death.
