Registered Griggs county. Born, Sacred Heart, Minn., Oct. 6, 1888. Occupation - bookkeeper. Enlisted in the Marine Corps at Cooperstown on Feb. 15, 1918. Sent to Parris Island, S. C. Served in Band Detachment from April 15, 1918, to April 25, 1918; Washington, D. C., from April 25, 1918, to May 1, 1918; 148th Company from May 1, 1918, to Oct. 15, 1918; Company D, Machine Gun Battalion, 5th Brigade, Quantico, Va., from Oct. 15, 1918, to Oct. 25, 1918; Company B, 2nd Separate Machine Gun Battalion, from Oct. 25, 1918, to death.
