Biography:

Byron J Bohrer was born in Manhaven, Burleigh County, North Dakota on September 5, 1921. He entered AUS Burleigh County, North Dakota on July 18, 1944, and enlisting at Fort Snelling, Minnesota, serving in the European African Middle Eastern Theater.  He was killed in action on February 15, 1945, in Germany. He is buried in Block E, Row 11, Lot 23 at St Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck, North Dakota. 

Private Bohrer was serving with the Army in Germany when he was killed February 15, 1945. Prior to entering the Army in July 1944, Private Bohrer was employed by Midwest Motor Express. He took his basic training at Camp McClellan, Alabama, and was sent overseas in December 1944. He received the Purple Heart. His widow is the former Signe Roswick and his parents are Tobias A. and Margaret Bohrer.
