This discrepancy is noted and the information here is provided by the Official Roster, but he is listed as Fallen.
Biography:
Registered Pembina county. Born, Neche, N. Dak., May 1, 1890, of Canadian parents. Occupation - grainbuyer. Inducted at Cavalier on Dec. 14, 1917. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Company E, 352nd Infantry, to April 5, 1918; Company F, 129th Infantry, to discharge. Grade: Private 1st Class, May 2, 1918. Overseas from May 10, 1918, to may 22, 1919. Wounded, slightly, Oct. 11, 1918; wounded, slightly, Nov. 11, 1918. Engagements: Offensives: Meuse-Argonne; Somme. Defensive Sectors: Verdun-Fromereville and Troyon (Lorraine).
