Registered Logan county. Born, Napoleon, N. Dak., Feb. 24, 1891, of Canadian-Austrian parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Gillette, Wyo., on April 8, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Company M, 3rd Battalion, 163rd Depot Brigade, to April 21, 1918; Company G, 138th Infantry, to death. Overseas from May 3, 1918, to death. Engagements: Defensive Sectors: Grange-le-Comte (Lorraine); Gerardmer (Alsace).
