Registered Morton county. Born, Mandan, N. Dak., Sept. 30, 1895, of Norwegian parents. Occupation - clerk. Inducted at Mandan on March 16, 1918. Sent to Fort Logan, Colo. Served in 19th Company, Boston Coast Artillery Corps, to Sept. 2, 1918; Unit No. 1, September Automatic Replacement Draft, Boston Coast Artillery Corps, to Oct. 24, 1918; Detachement Headquarters, Heavy Artillery Battalion, to death. Grade: Corporal, Aug. 18, 1918. Overseas from Sept. 23, 1918, to death.
