Staff Sergeant Sullivan died on April 2, 1945, in France and has a grave marker at Lorraine American Cemetery, St. Avoid, Département de la Moselle, Lorraine, France, Plot D, Row 17, Grave 25. His gravestone is located at Calvary Cemetery, Grand Forks, North Dakota. He received Bronze Star and Purple Heart awards.
