Biography:

On June 1, 1971, aircraft #68-16313 from the 128th Assault Helicopter Company was on an operation in Hau Nghia Province (III Corps) when it exploded in mid-air. Suspicion fell on the possibility it was hit by an artillery round. Officially it was recorded as a non-hostile action. Four crew members and three MACV passengers were killed.

Born on August 17, 1950, in Dickinson, Stark County, North Dakota. He served in the Army as a Specialist Four, Specialty or Occupation was a Single-Rotor Turbine Observation/Utility Helicopter Repairman, in the 1st Aviation Brigade, 11th Aviation Battalion, 12th Aviation Group, 128th Aviation Company. He received the Bronze Star and is honored on the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Washington, DC, name inscribed at VVM Wall, Panel 03w, Line 61. He is buried or memorialized at Saint Wenceslaus Cemetery in Dickinson, North Dakota.
