Biography:

Registered Hennepin county, Minn. Born, Appleton, Minn., Feb. 21, 1892, of Norwegian-Swedish parents. Occupation - pressfeeder. Enlisted at Minneapolis, Minn., on Dec. 15, 1917. Sent to Jefferson Barracks, Mo. Served in Company E, 3rd Provisional Ordnance Detachment Battalion, Camp Jackson, S. C., to March 28, 1918; 1st Heavy Artillery Motor Ordnance Repair Shop, to death. Grade: Private 1st Class, Nov. 22, 1918. Overseas from July 9, 1918, to death. Engagement: Offensive: Meuse-Argonne.
