Straster enlisted on 22 December 1939. Fenn attended school at the Berthold high school and Minot high schools. He died of his wounds received in action on 25 December 1944 in Germany. In service since 2 December 1939, Cpl Straster had seen foreign service in Equador and Brazil. From there he was sent to Colorado, then to Fort Maede, Md. In October 1944 he went across to the European theater. His brother Private Robert Straster, 27, was stationed in the Philippines.
