Not a registrant, enlisted prior. Born, Bathgate, N. Dak., May, 1894, of (nationality of parents not given). Occupation - unknown. Enlisted at Jefferson Barracks, Mo., on Nov. 23, 1916. Served in Company B, 4th Infantry, to July 20, 1917; Company D, 58th Infantry, to death. Grade: Cook, May 21, 1917. Overseas from May 19, 1918, to death. Engagements: Offensives: Aisne-Marne; St. Mihiel; Meuse-Argonne. Defensive Sectors: Vesle (Champagne); Toulon (Lorraine).
