Biography:

George Cameron Maze was born Williston, McKenzie County, North Dakota on July 22, 1923, to Walter Lawrence Maze and Martha Anna Ferrell.  As a resident of Grand Forks County, North Dakota he entered AUS Ft Snelling, Minnesota on May 20, 1943, and served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater, attached to the 40th Infantry Division, 108th Infantry Regiment. Private First Class Maze was killed in action on January 28, 1945, at Luzon, Philippines. He is buried at the Manila American Cemetery, Fort McKinley, Manila, Philippines, Plot D, Row 12, Grave 16. He received the Purple Heart.
