Biography:

Pvt. Dohn, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Dohn, Sr., was born in Bismarck on Feb. 11, 1918 and received his early education here. In 1936 he graduated from Bismarck high school.

He entered the service with Co. A, 164th infantry of the North Dakota National Guard in 1941 and was stationed at Camp Claiborne, La. Later he was sent to Oregon, then to Australia, New Caledonia and then to Guadalcanal where he was killed in action.

Before entering the service, he was employed by the state highway department.

Besides his mother and father, he leaves two brothers, William M. Dohn of Hermosa Beach, Calif., and Jerome O. Dohn of Charlotte, N.C.

He is buried in Lot 1, Block 33 at Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck, North Dakota.
