Biography:
Not a registrant, enlisted prior. Born, Spencer, Iowa, April 22, 1897, of Danish parents. Occupation - gas engineer. Enlisted at Minot on June 4, 1918. Sent to Jefferson Barracks, Mo. Served in 8th Company, 1st Road Regiment, Camp Joseph E. Johnston, to July 23, 1918; Motor Truck Company No. 471, 418th Motor Supply Train, to death. Grades: Private 1st Class, July 29, 1918; Corporal, Oct., 1918. Overseas from Aug. 14, 1918, to death. Engagments: Offensives: St. Mihiel; Meuse-Argonne.
