Biography:

Glenn Ervin Maier enlisted in the United State Navy on April 14, 1969, with a rank of Petty Officer Third Class. His military occupation or specialty was Fireman Third Class, and he was attached to the NAVSUPACT SAIGON, YRBM-17.

Glenn Maier was born on December 31, 1949, in Bismarck, Burleigh County, North Dakota and was reported missing and ultimately declared deceased on July 11, 1970. He is buried at the Linton Cemetery, Linton, North Dakota. 

Petty Officer Third Class Maier received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and is honored on the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Washington, DC, name inscribed at VVM Wall, Panel 8w, Line 10.
