Registered Cass county. Born, Northwood, Iowa, March 23, 1897, of American-Norwegian parents. Occupation - clerk. Enlisted in the Navy at Fargo on June 21, 1918. Served at Dunwoody Naval Training School, Minneapolis, Minn., to death. Grade: Landsman for Machinist's Mate, 108 days.
