Registered Griggs county. Born, Sun Prairie, Wis., Nov. 6, 1893, of Norwegian parents. Occupation - carpenter. Inducted at Cooperstown on April 3, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in 163rd Depot Brigade, to April 21, 1918; 138th Infantry, to July 2, 1918; Company E, 140th Infantry, to death. Overseas from June 4, 1918, to death. Engagements: Offensive: Meuse-Argonne. Defensive Sectors: Grange-le-Comte (Lorraine); Gerardmer (Alsace).
