Biography:

John E. Kapsner was born on September 25, 1918. He served in the 375th Bomber Squadron, 308th Bomber Group, Heavy as a First Lieutenant during World War II. He died on June 13, 1945 at the age of 26 and is now buried in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, USA. CPT Kapsner was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China but death date is inscribed as 1945-07-13 and ranked as a First Lieutenant
