Registered Pembina county. Born, Farsund, Norway, Sept. 5, 1890. Naturalized citizen. Occupation - laborer. Inducted at Cavalier on Nov. 21, 1917. Served in Company L, 352nd Infantry, to Nov. 28, 1917; Company I, 348th Infantry, to March 27, 1918; Camp Pike No. 1 March Replacement Draft, to May 5, 1918; Company C, 163rd Infantry, to May 13, 1918; Company M, 102nd Infantry, to death. Overseas from April 19, 1918, to death. Engagements: Defensive: Champagne-Marne. Offensive: Aisne-Marne. Defensive Sectors: Pas Fini (Ile-de-France); Toul-Boucq (Lorraine).
