Biography:

John Theodore Moland was born in Moorhead, Clay County, Minnesota on November 11, 1914, to Carl A and Tera Audelid Moland. He later became a resident of Fargo, Cass County, North Dakota and entered the United States Army at Fort Snelling, Minneapolis, Minnesota on March 24, 1944. Private Moland served in the European African Middle Eastern Theater and was killed in action on February 14, 1945, in Prum, Germany and he is buried at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Moorhead, Clay County, Minnesota.

John married Murtle Clarice (Horton) Brown Degidio on January 29, 1944, in Minnesota. He was the stepfather to Clarence Milton Moland.
