Circumstances:

During the month of March the Battalion was carrying out it combat operations in the Dien Ban and Hieu Nhon District of Quang Nam Province. On March 21, a patrol in the vicinity of the Thanh Tam village complex detonated a mine, and PFC Jamerson was wounded by shrapnel from the explosion. Evacuated to the NSA Station Hospital in DaNang, he died on April 5 from the injuries he had sustained from the hostile explosive device. 

Biography:

He was born in Fort Yates, ND. He is buried in Messiah Church Cemetery - Little Eagle, SD.  He received a posthumous promotion to Lance Corporal.
