Circumstances:

CPT Brown was and ARMY Chaplain assigned to BDE HHC, 198th Infantry Brigade, Americal Division when he and 10 other servicemen was killed while a passenger on a military aircraft on the military mission "Operation Finney Hill" when the aircraft was fired upon by hostile ground forces, crashed and burned near VAn Xuan, Song Ve Valley 20 KM south of Quang Ngai Province, South Vietnam.

Biography:

He was born in Butler, PA, was a resident of McHenry County, ND when he entered the US Army in Fort Dix, NJ. He is buried in Site B, Lot 245, Grave 1 in Concord Cemetery - Hooker, PA.
