Biography:
Norman Anthony Emineth was drafted into the Army via Selective Service on July 15, 1969, and began his tour on December 8, 1969. His rank was Sergeant, and his military occupation or specialty was Light Weapons Infantry. He was attached to the 25th Infantry Division, 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry, C Company.
Norman Emineth was born on June 13, 1949, in Mandan, Burleigh County, North Dakota, to Anton and Agnes Emineth and grew up in Baldwin, North Dakota.
Sergeant Emineth lost his life on May 22, 1970, through hostel actions in Cambodia, Binh Duong province. He is buried at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck, North Dakota. He received the purple heart and is honored on the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Washington, DC, name inscribed at VVM Wall, Panel 10w, Line 79.
