Registered Ward county. Born, Forrest City, Iowa, March 7, 1893, of English-American parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Minot on March 29, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Company D, 1st Battalion, 163rd Depot Brigade, to death.
