Died in service at Camp McCain
Biography:
Word has been received by Mr. and Mrs. Tobias Bohrer of the death of their son Private Othmar H. Bohrer, 28, at Camp McCain, Miss. on May 5, 1943.
Private Bohrer had visited in Bismarck a short time ago, and he then was in good health, his parents said. The telegram received by them did not indicate the cause of his death.
He had been in the army for six years having enlisted in 1937 at Ft. Lincoln. He has another brother, Pfc. Vernon Bohrer of Ft. Ord, California, who now is in Bismarck on a furlough. Three brothers, Byron, Wesley, and Wilbur live in Bismarck and another brother, Waldemar is in Fargo. He leaves one sister, Mrs. Ruben E. Tellingson of Mineral Wells, Texas.
Private Bohrer was born December 3, 1915 in Manhaven. He was married in January this year in Menphis, Tenn., to Miss Leone Dodd.
He is buried in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck, North Dakota.
