Circumstances:
Passenger and sole fatality aboard A-20B Havoc #41-2989 when the twin engine attack bomber crashed into Mobile Bay, Alabama.
The airplane departed Brookley Field in Mobile, for a flight to Tallahassee, Florida, and entered a zero-visibility fog bank and flew into the surface of the water, 12 miles east-southeast of Mobile, and broke apart and settled in 4½ feet of water.
