Biography:

Wallce Berg was born in Atkins Township, Towner County, North Dakota on December 16, 1919, to Henry B and Sigrid Ingelborg Miliander.  entered United States Army, Fort Snelling, Minnesota on November 11, 1942, and served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. Private First Class Berg was killed in action on April 30, 1945, in the Okinawa Islands, Okinawa, Japan. He is buried in Plot 6, Row 1, Grave 1 E, 1.0.0.F. Cemetery, Cando, North Dakota.
