Biography:

Ward Cecil Evans enlisted in the United States Army via Regular Military on October 29, 1964, and began his tour on July 22, 1968. His rank was Staff Sergeant, and his military occupation or specialty was Light Weapons Infantry. 

Ward Evans was born on February 22, 1940, in Harwood, Cass County, North Dakota, on February 22, 1940, to Duward Cecil and Iola Elizabeth Evans. Evans married Emily M Macholz on June 19, 1968, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He lost his life on February 8, 1969, and is buried at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado. 

Staff Sergeant Evans received the Purple Heart and is honored on the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Washington, DC, name inscribed at VVM Wall, Panel 33w, Line 84.
