Fargo, ND - Breton M. Weintraub, M.D. has been selected as Chief of Staff, Department of Veterans Affairs, Fargo VA Health Care System.
Dr. Weintraub received his undergraduate degree at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his residency in the Department of Internal Medicine, University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
In 2002, Dr. Weintraub joined the Department of Veterans Affairs William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital serving as a staff physician, and Chief, Primary Care. In 2012, he transferred to the Fargo VA Health Care system where he was appointed as Associate Chief of Staff for Primary Care and Specialty Medicine. Most recently, Dr. Weintraub has been serving as interim Chief of Staff.
Dr. Weintraub is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has held academic appointments with the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health Madison, Wisconsin and the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences, Grand Forks, North Dakota.
