Al Wondrasek, Commander AMVETS Dept of ND attended the VA Hospital Ribbon Cutting for the new addition. His comments were: :WOW. BEAUTIFUL. What a great facility for Veterans in ND, MN and SD, let alone any veteran from anywhere."

To ALL the great quilters of the Bottineau Area, County, State, Minnesota every other place possible that donates quilts to the ND Veterans Home in Fargo.  Every one of the new rooms had a quilt on the bed. These quilts were donated by one of the quilt makers to the VA Hospital......What a great deal.  When a veteran checks into the room, there is a quilt for him / her. The quilt is their's. When they check out, the veteran gets to keep the quilt. If the veteran has been called home, the family gets the quilt. What a great program! For that reason, we need to continue to donate quilts to the Fargo VA Hospital.  The highlight of the day was the Ribbon Cutting with:  Left to right: VA VISN 23 Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Sanchez,; Dilworth MN Mayor Chad Olson,; Tim Mahoney Mayor of Fargo ND,; Congressman Cramer, ND,;  VA Hospital Director Lavonne Liversage,;  Senator  Hooven, ND.,; Senator Heitkamp, ND.; and Congressman Collin Peterson,  MN.  The Senators stated, "It is a well known fact that the ND VA Hospital is one of the Top Five in the Nation."  Al Wondrasek, who toured the new facility stated, " All you have to do is tour this whole facility and you will than see why the Veterans in this area brag about the facility.
