Registered Cass county. Born, Oriski, N. Dak., Feb. 22, 1893, of American parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Fargo on Sept. 22, 1917. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Company M, 352nd Infantry, to Nov. 29, 1917; Company G, 347th Infantry, to March 9, 1918; Company H, 58th Infantry, to April 17, 1918; Machine Gun Company, 58th Infantry, to death. Overseas from May, 11, 1918, to death. Engagement: Offensive: Aisne-Marne.
