Captain Waldera died Apr 2, 1969 at the age of 24 from wounds he sustained at Bien Hoa Province, South Vietnam.
Biography:
David Waldera was born in Fargo, North Dakota on April 3, 1944, the son of Clarence and Edith Waldera. He graduated from North Dakota State University in 1967. A former member of First Methodist Church in Fargo, he became a member of Olivet Lutheran Church after his marriage to Donna Wilson in Fargo Jan. 21, 1967.
He went into the Army after graduation and went to Vietnam in May of 1968. He served as a Captain in A CO, ARMY DEPOT LONG BINH, ARMY SPT CMD SAIGON, 1ST LOG CMD, USAR. Captain Waldera died Apr 2, 1969 at the age of 24 from wounds he sustained at Bien Hoa Province, South Vietnam.
He was buried in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fargo.
