Biography:

Sergeant Dennis Schossow was serving his country during the Vietnam War in the Quang Nam Province, South Vietnam. He enlisted in the United State Marine Corps January 23, 1970, and his specialty or military occupation was a Telephone System Repairer. He began his tour on May 30, 1970, and had the rank of Sergeant. He was attached to the HQ Battalion, 1st Force Service Regiment, Force Logistics Command.

Dennis Robert Schossow was born on September 26, 1949, in Sheldon, Ransom County, North Dakota. During his service, he experienced a traumatic event which ultimately resulted in loss of life on January 22, 1971. Sergeant Schossow received the Purple Heart and is honored on the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Washington, DC, name inscribed at VVM Wall, Panel 5w, Line 61.
