Registered (not given). Born, Browerville, Minn., March 18, 1894. Enlisted in the Marine Corps at Fargo on Aug. 6, 1917. Sent to Parris Island, S. C. Served in 34th Company, Quantico, Va., from Jan. 8, 1918, to Feb., 1918. Arrived in France, Feb. 25, 1918. Served in 43rd Company, 5th Regiment, from March 28, 1918, to death. Engagements: Toulon Sector; Aisne Defensive; Chateau-Thierry Sector.
