Biography:
Registrant of Richland County North Dakota. Born Albian, Michigan on October 20, 1888. (Nationality of parents not given). Occupation-Laborer. Married-wife Ethel Vaughn. Enlisted in Company I 1st Infantry, North Dakota National Guard at Wahpeton on June 25, 1917. Called into Federal service, World War, on July 15, 1917. Served in Company I 1st infantry, North Dakota National Guard (Coimpany I 164th Infantry) to January 13, 1918. Served in Headquarters Company 26th Infantry to death. Overseas from December 10, 1917 to death. Wounded, severly on October 4, 1918. Engagements-Defensive: Mondidier-Noyon. Engagements-Offensive: Aisne-Marne, St. Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne. Defensive Sectors: Ansauville and Saizerais (Lorraine), Cantigny (Picardy).
