Biography:

Registered McKenzie county. Born, Westport, D. T., June 14, 1889, of American parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Schafer on Sept. 18, 1917. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Battery D, 338th Field Artillery, to Dec. 1, 1917; Battery E, 336th Field Artillery, to March 14, 1918; School for Bakers and Cooks, Camp Pike, Ark., to death. Grade: Sergeant, June 8, 1918.
