A native of Selz, North Dakota. Killed in action on December 7, 1941 at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii while serving aboard the battleship USS Arizona. His name is on the memorial listing those crewmembers still entombed aboard the USS Arizona.Â Remains not recoverd.Â

Biography:

Memorialized at the USS Arizona Memorial, and Saint Cecilia Catholic Cemetery in Harvey, ND.
