Registered Walsh county. Born, Minto, N. Dak., Aug. 30, 1895, of Polish-American parents. Occupation - auto mechanic. Enlisted at Grand Forks on Oct. 23, 1917. Sent to Jefferson Barracks, Mo. Served in Depot Company I, Signal Corps, Fort Leavenworth, Kans., to Nov. 14, 1917; Company C, 5th Field Battalion, Signal Corps, to death. Grade: Private 1st Class, Feb. 15, 1918. Overseas from Feb. 27, 1918, to death. Engagements: Offensives: Aisne-Marne; St. Mihiel; Meuse-Argonne. Defensives: Aisne; Champagne-Marne. Defensive Sector: Chateau Thierry (Champagne).
