Not a registrant, under age. Born, Grafton, N. Dak., March 26, 1897, of Norwegian parents. Occupation - student. Enlisted in the Navy at Minneapolis, Minn., on Nov. 30, 1917. Served at Naval Training Station, Great Lakes, Ill., to Dec. 31, 1917; Naval Training Camp, Charleston, S. C., to March 29, 1918; Naval Radio School, Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass., to Aug. 8, 1918; Receiving Ship, Pensacola, Fla., to Sept. 25, 1918; Naval Air Station, Cape May, N. J., to death. Grades: Apprentice 'Seaman, 46 days; Seaman 2nd Class, 205 days; Electrician 3rd Class, Radio, 44 days; Electrician 2nd Class, Radio Operator, 51 days.
