Biography:

Registered Pembina county. Born, Cashel, N. Dak., Aug. 8, 1896, of Canadian parents. Occupation - student. Enlisted in the Reserve Corps, at Princeton, N. J., in May, 1917. Called into active service on Aug. 15, 1917. Served in Air Service, Fort Wood, N. Y., to Sept. 25, 1917; 8th Aviation Instruction Center, Foggia, Italy, to March 23, 1918; 3rd Aviation Instruction Center, AEF, to April 17, 1918; 2nd Aviation Instruction Center, AEF, to discharge. Grade: Private 1st Class, Aug. 15, 1917. Discharge on April 22, 1918, as a Private 1st Class, to accept commission. Commissioned 1st Lieutenant on April 24, 1918. Assigned to 2nd Aviation Instruction Center, Air Service, to death. Overseas from Sept. 25, 1917, to death.
