Registered Eddy county. Born, Council Bluffs, Iowa, April 2, 1888, of (nationality of parents not given). Occupation - bank cashier. Enlisted at Camp Greene, N. C., on Feb. 19, 1918. Served in Company M, 58th Infantry, to Feb. 22, 1918; Supply Company, 39th Infantry, to death. Grade: Private 1st Class, Feb.23, 1918. Overseas from May 3, 1918, to death. Engagements: Offensives: Aisne-Marne; St. Mihiel; Meuse-Argonne. Defensive Sectors: Toulon and Verdun-Fromereville (Lorraine); Vesle (Champagne).
