Registered Burleigh county. Born, Bismarck, N. Dak., Nov. 29, 1890, of American parents. Occupation - clerk. Inducted at Bismarck on July 23, 1918. Sent to Camp Custer, Mich. Served in 20th Company, 5th Battalion, 160th Depot Brigade, to Aug. 18, 1918; Battery A, 41st Field Artillery, to death.
