Biography:

Born in Bottineau, North Dakota on November 16, 1923 to Harry Josiah Amsbaugh and Mable Olive Amsbaugh. Brother of Harold LeRoy Amsbaugh; Franklin Albert Amsbaugh; Raymond Lawrence Amsbaugh; Madeline Bernice Larson; Sgt Milo Hans Amsbaugh; and Marvin Elroy Amsbaugh. Private Relmond Amsbaugh was a residnet of Bottineau County, North Dakota when he entered the US Army Bottineau County, NDak on November 11, 1943. He served in the European African Middle Eastern Theater and was killed in action on July 12, 1944 in France. He is buried in Grave 13694, Block 24, Section C, Ft Snelling National Cemetery, Mpls, Minn. He is also a Purple Heart Recipient.
