Biography:

Norman F. Gillenberg was born on June 5, 1923. He was employed by the Capitol theatre before entering the army in March 1943. He received his training at Camp Pickett, VA and was sent overseas. He landed with the invasion forces in Normandy and was wounded in action in France. He died on November 24, 1944 at the age of 21 and is now buried in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck, Burleigh County, North Dakota, USA.
