Biography:

Paul D Morgan was born in Kenmare, Eddy County, North Dakota on September 17, 1917, to Clyde G and Lydia Lucille Cunningham Fujiwara Morgan. He entered the United States Marine Corps in Seattle, Washington on September 17, 1935, and served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. Sergeant Morgan was killed in action on March 7, 1945, in Iwo Jima, Ogasawara-shicho, Tokyo Metropolis, Japan. He is buried in Grave 7, Section D, National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii. Sergeant Morgan received the Purple Heart.
