Allow any surviving spouse in receipt of VA dependency and indemnity compensation (DIC) to be eligible for 1 DAV (non-distinctive or standard) plate and exemption.

Homestead Tax Credit

  • Increases property tax exemption limit for disabled veterans from $120,000 full and True ($5,400 taxable value) to $150,000 ($6,750 taxable value)
  • Effective date of 12-31-2012. And 12-31-2013 for mobile homes.

  • Spouses living together may only apply for 1 exemption
  • Service members living together and not married can apply for full exemption based on the percentage of ownership in the homestead.
