The North Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs is warning Veterans about fraudulent postcards promoting a so-called "Veterans Saving Program." These mailers are not from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and the program does not exist. If you receive one of these postcards, do not provide personal or financial information. Always verify benefit information directly with the VA or an accredited Veterans Service Officer and report any suspicious mail. Staying informed is the best way to protect yourself from scams.

The Vietnam Veterans of America will hold its North Dakota State Meeting & Picnic on July 18, 2026, at Island Park in Mayville, featuring morning meetings, a 12:30 p.m. cookout, live music, and a 3 p.m. silent auction and raffle. Attendees are asked to RSVP by July 10.

Senator, Secretary Collins Discuss Expanding Long-Term Care Access for Veterans in Northwestern North Dakota

A recent incident has prompted a fraud alert to Veterans after a community member received a fake letter claiming he had a scheduled VA appointment and needed to pay upfront for the visit. According to the document, VA later confirmed the individual was not enrolled in VA health care, and no appointment had been scheduled. The letter and payment request were entirely fraudulent.
