Frank J. Helbling
Biography:
T-Sgt. Frank J. Helbling of Mandan was killed in action in Germany on March 31, according to a telegram received by his wife, Mrs. Pauline Helbling, who makes her home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Lanz of Mandan. T-Sgt. Helbling is a 1938 graduate from Mandan High School and entered the Army in June, 1942.

Edmund J. Heil
Biography:
Private First Class Edmund Heil, son of Marcus and Barbara Heil, brother of Mrs John Paczkowski, was killed while serving with 147 F.A., 2nd Battalion, S.A. Battery in Australia. He was killed when the universal joint on the weapons carrier failed.

Blaine M. Heglund
Biography:
Blaine Milo Heglund was born on April 9, 1923 on the family farm in Roseland Township, Burke County, North Dakota. He was the second of nine children born to Carl Conrad and Esther Ida Elizabeth (Erickson) Heglund.
He was baptized on December 4, 1924 at the Elmdale Lutheran Church in Niobe. He was raised on the family farm in Roseland Township, Burke County, North Dakota. Blaine enjoyed spending time with his horses, Dick and Splash.
Blaine attended the country school near their home and later school in Kenmare, ND two years and attended school in Coteau, ND one year.
